We are local sunars, which means we work with gold and silver for the people in our community. The shop is small and it is right in the lane. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or big signs. It is just a place where people come to talk and get their jewelry made. We sit on the floor on cushions and use a small scale to weigh everything. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing business, but it is what people here expect. We know everyone’s name and whose daughter is getting married. We make things by hand and we take our time with it. We don't have a marketing team or a big brand. We are just the local goldsmiths. Sometimes people come in just to chat for a while, and we like that. We keep our tools in a wooden box and our gold in a heavy safe. It is a simple life in Pindarthu, and we are happy to keep the family tradition going. We just do our best to make sure the ornaments are right for the families who trust us and have been coming here for years.
