Jayshree Devghat Foundation

I’m writing this because people ask about what we do here at Jayshree Devghat Foundation. We are located in Mau Auraiya Goora, which is part of Bidhuna in the Auraiya district. Rakesh Kumar is the main contact person for things going on here. It’s pretty quiet in this part of Uttar Pradesh but there is always some work to get done. We started this foundation not because we wanted a big title or anything, but just to have a place where things could happen for the community. Sometimes it gets a bit disorganized because we are just a few people trying to manage the day to day stuff. You can find us at the address on the documents if you are ever passing through the area. It is basically just a house and some office space. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors and seeing what is needed in the village. It isn't a fancy office with glass windows or air conditioning. It's just a regular spot in the village where we sit down and talk. Most of the time we are just busy with paperwork or small tasks that don't seem like much but they take up the whole day. People come by and we help where we can. It’s been this way for a while now and we don’t expect that to change much. We just keep going with the work Rakesh and the others started without making much of a fuss.
