Vijaya Masean

We are located at 56 Salem Main Rroad in Ottapatti. Being on the main road means there is a lot of dust and noise from the buses and lorries passing by. We have a small yard where we keep some of the bigger items. Inside, it’s mostly just us working with the machines. We call it Vijaya Masean, and it has been our livelihood for quite some time. The roof is made of tin, so when it rains, you can't hear yourself think. We don't have any fancy office chairs or desks. We mostly just stand or sit on stools. Our hands are usually dirty from the work, and we don't bother cleaning them until we are done for the day. Ottapatti is a small place, so everyone knows who we are. We don't really do any promotion. People just see the sign outside and come in if they need something. We spend a lot of time fixing things that break and making sure the machinery keeps running. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we don't know anything else. We just take it day by day and hope for the best. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, and we take a break for some tea. Then it’s back to work. The Salem Main Rroad is the lifeline of this area, and we are glad to be right on it. Even though it's noisy, it brings people to our door. We just keep our heads down and do our work every day.
