Naidu Milletiry Hotel

Pappireddipatti is a small spot in Dharmapuri, and we are right on the Salem Main Road. If you are standing at the bus stand, you can look across and see us there. It is a prime location for anyone traveling between towns. Naidu Milletiry Hotel has been here long enough that we are part of the scenery. The road is always dusty from the buses and the trucks, so we are constantly cleaning the front windows. It’s a military style hotel, which means we keep things straightforward and focused on the meal. No frills, no fancy decorations, just heavy wooden tables and the smell of the stove. The sun can get really hot in this part of Tamil Nadu, so we try to keep the inside as cool as possible for the travelers. Most of our customers are drivers or people waiting for their next bus. They don't want a long speech; they just want to sit down for a bit. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is ready when the morning rush starts. It’s a tough job sometimes, standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it. Salem Main Road is our home, and we wouldn't know what to do if we weren't hearing those bus horns every ten minutes. It is just a simple way to spend the day.
