Dhanalakshmi Traders

Our little spot for Dhanalakshmi Traders is located at number 31, right near the Thai Sri Temple in Kattukottai. If you’re around the temple, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. It’s a busy area, especially during festivals when the noise from the temple gets quite loud. We mostly spend our days moving bags around and keeping track of the inventory. Trading isn’t always the most exciting job, but it’s what we know. There’s always someone coming in to ask about prices or to see if a specific shipment has arrived yet. The floors are a bit dusty because of all the moving back and forth, but that’s just part of the trade. We have a small desk where the paperwork gets piled up, and sometimes it takes a while to find what we’re looking for. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get really hectic. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that; people just know where we are because we’ve been here at this address in Kattukottai for a while. It’s a practical way to make a living. We have a small fan that rattles in the corner, and we usually have the radio playing some local songs in the background while we work. It’s just us doing our thing day after day, trying to stay organized amidst all the sacks and crates.
