Isola Di Cocco Ayurvedic Beach Resort

Isola Di Cocco Ayurvedic Beach Resort is down in Poovar, right at the end of the road. It is a place surrounded by water and lots of coconut trees, which is actually what the name means. We have been operating here for a long time, right where the backwaters meet the sea. Life moves a bit slower in this part of Kerala. You spend a lot of time watching the boats go by or dealing with the humidity. The staff spends the day looking after the grounds and making sure the rooms are ready for guests who come for the treatments. It is not like a city hotel where everything is fast and rushed. Here, we deal with the tide and the weather more than anything else. Most people come here because they want to see the Poovar beach or try the traditional oil massages we have. The buildings are spread out among the trees, so there is a lot of walking involved to get from one place to another. We keep the paths clear and try to manage the garden as best as we can. It is a bit of a trek to get out here from the main town, but that is why it is quiet. We just focus on the daily routine of running the resort and making sure the guest area stays tidy. We are just a group of local people working to keep this old place going.
