Shri Dhanwantari Hospital & Alcohol De Addiction Centre

We are located at 1628, right near the old Tahsildar office in Gokak. It is an older part of town and the building has been around for quite a while. We spend our days helping people with general medical stuff and we also have a specific area for those struggling with drinking too much. It is not an easy job, but it is necessary work. The hospital is on the Old High School Road. You can usually find us if you know where the old government offices are. Most people in the neighborhood just know us as the place down the street. We have a few rooms and some beds for people who need to stay over for treatment. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside because of all the traffic heading toward Belgaum, but inside we try to keep things as steady as possible. The staff mostly comes from around here and we drink a lot of tea between seeing patients. It is a plain place with no fancy decorations or big glass windows like you see in the city malls. It is just brick and paint and a lot of hard work. When someone comes in for the de-addiction part, it takes a long time and a lot of talking. We just stay here and do what we can for the folks in Gokak. The old Tahsildar office is a good landmark if you ever get lost looking for us.
