Maharaja Ice Cream

We opened up Maharaja Ice Cream because we wanted something to do in Modaga. You can find us at 59, Belgaum Road. It isn’t a big fancy place or anything. Mostly just a counter and some chairs. The mornings are usually slow while we get everything ready. We spend a lot of time checking the temperature on the tubs. If the power goes out, it’s a big headache for us. People from the neighborhood come in when it gets hot outside. We have a few different flavors in the display. Sometimes we change them if we feel like it. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. He’s still learning how to scoop properly. The shop is right on the main road, so you see a lot of trucks passing by. It gets dusty, so we are always wiping the glass. We don't have a big sign, just a simple one. If you are driving toward Belgaum, you might miss us if you aren't looking. We keep the place open until late most nights. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when there are no customers. It’s a simple way to make a living. We know most of the regulars by name now. They usually get the same thing every single time they visit. We don't mind. It makes things easier for us behind the counter. That is pretty much all there is to our story here.
