We are located over at 12-1-490/27/16 in Shankar Nagar, which is part of the Asif Nagar area. The workshop is usually full of wood shavings and that strong smell of polish and glue. We make basic things like cupboards, small tables, and sometimes bed frames when people from the neighborhood ask for them specifically. It is a dusty job, and our clothes are always covered in fine white sawdust by the time we go home. We have a few old saws and hammers that have been used for so many years they feel like part of our hands. People come in with little sketches they drew on pieces of paper, showing us what they want for their new apartments. We try to get all the measurements exactly right, but working with wood can be tricky because it changes with the weather. Moving the finished pieces out of the shop is often the hardest part because the lane outside is quite narrow and gets blocked easily. We have to use a small hand trolley for the heavy stuff. Most of the people living around here know us because of the sawing noise we make during the day. It is hard physical work, especially when we have to sand down every corner by hand to make it smooth for the polish. We keep the glue bottles lined up on a shelf near the door. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of wood and have to wait for the supply truck to find us. It is just a small local place, but we stay busy with the orders.
