Narayan Hardware

Narayan Hardware is right by the New Bus Stand, not too far from the Gaytri Temple. It’s a convenient spot because people can just hop off the bus and come find what they need for their repairs or building projects. We sell all sorts of hardware items, from small nails to bigger tools. The shop is usually a bit cluttered because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. It’s not the neatest place you’ve ever seen, but we usually know where everything is. Being near the temple means we get a lot of foot traffic, especially during festival times. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s nice to have a chat while we are looking for a specific bolt or a piece of pipe. We don’t have a website or anything fancy; we just open the doors and help whoever walks in. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the buses right there, but you stop noticing it after a while. We’ve been running this shop for years, and it’s just our way of life now. My clothes usually have a bit of grease or dust on them from handling the stock. We just focus on keeping the bins full and helping the local plumbers and carpenters find their tools. It is a simple life of selling nuts and bolts.
