Madarsa Jiya Convent

We’ve been here in Gram Chiroli for a while now. Most people around Shadora know where we are, just past Post Renjha. The school, Madarsa Jiya Convent, isn't some fancy big city place. It's just a simple building where kids from the village come to learn their basics. I remember when we first got the doors on, it felt like a real milestone. Ashoknagar can get pretty dusty, especially during the dry season, so we spend a lot of time just keeping the classrooms tidy. There's a small courtyard where the students line up in the morning. Sometimes it's a bit loud when they're all out there at once, but that's just how it goes with children. We have some teachers who travel in, and a few who live right nearby. It’s a quiet life here, honestly. We don’t have a big website or anything, just this spot. Sometimes parents stop by to talk about their kids' progress while they're on their way to work. It’s more of a community thing than a formal business. We try to keep the benches in good shape, though they get scratched up after a few terms. There’s always a list of things to fix, like a leaky tap or a broken window latch. It keeps us busy most weekends. We just do what we can with what we have here in the village. It's about getting through the lessons every day and making sure the kids have a place to sit.
