If you’re looking for Saswata Mukherjee & Co., we are located in Chatterjee Para, which is part of Ukhra Taluka. We are in the West Burdwan district, quite near the Ukhra Rail Colony. It’s a quiet enough spot, though you can hear the trains every now and then since the tracks aren’t too far off. We’ve been operating out of this office for a good amount of time. It’s a small team here. We mostly handle paperwork and talk to clients who drop by from the local area. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a regular office in a residential part of town. My desk is usually covered in folders and ledgers. We have tea in the afternoons and usually talk about what’s happening in the district. Getting here is easy enough if you know the Rail Colony area. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations. We try to keep things organized, but it gets busy during certain times of the year. There’s a small porch out front where people sometimes wait if we’re already talking to someone. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our name on the wall outside. Most of our work comes from people just knowing who we are in the community. It’s a steady pace of life here in Ukhra. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The office can get a bit dusty with all the papers, but we like the location near the station.
