Samyak Samadhan Foundation

Samyak Samadhan Foundation is based out in Asansol. We are in the Sitarampur area, right on Cold Storage Road in Fatepur. You can find us care of Pritibala Karmakar. It’s a very practical and industrial part of Bardhaman. The air often smells of the nearby factories, and it’s a busy, working-class neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy office with big desks or air conditioning. It’s just a plain room where we do our work. We spend our time dealing with the issues that the local people bring to us. Everyone in Sitarampur is a hard worker, and we try to be the same. We don’t go around making big promises about what we are going to do. We would rather just show up and get on with it. Our foundation is small, just a few of us who know the area well. We are friends with the people at the cold storage and the local shop owners. It feels more like a community group than a formal business most of the time. We don't have a fancy website or someone to do our marketing. If you want to know what we are doing, you just have to come to Fatepur and have a chat. We try to be honest and straightforward with everyone we meet. It’s not always easy, but it is the work we chose to do here in Asansol.
