Nagarjuna Construction Co. Ltd is located over here in Asansol, right near the Doli Lodge. If you know the area in Burdwan, you probably know the lodge already. It's a busy part of West Bengal. Our office isn't anything like those big corporate buildings you see in movies. It’s a practical space. We have some desks, a lot of blue-colored files, and some old chairs for visitors. The ceiling fan hums all day long, especially when it gets really humid outside. We spend a lot of our time here talking to contractors or checking on the materials we need for our projects. It’s a lot of coordination. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days it’s quite quiet. We have a small team of people from the local area. We all know each other well. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Mostly just maps of the sites and some calendars. When the sun goes down, the area around the lodge gets even busier. Sometimes we stay late to finish up some paperwork or plan for the next morning. It’s just regular work. We aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just provide a place where construction projects get organized and managed. People stop by to ask for directions sometimes because they see our sign near the lodge. We don't mind helping out. It’s just part of being in the neighborhood.
