Majan Mining Co. , Oman

It might seem a bit odd to have a company tied to mining in Oman based out of a railway quarter in Asansol, but that is how we have it set up. We are in Rly. Qrs. No.222/St in the Mahuadanga Railway Colony. Living and working in a railway colony has its own rhythm, with the sound of trains passing by at all hours of the day and night. The office is just a part of the house where we keep the files and the computer. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sending emails to people far away in the Middle East. It is a lot of coordinating things between West Bengal and Oman, which means we are often working at strange hours because of the time difference. The colony is quiet apart from the trains, and there are a lot of trees around that keep the place a bit cooler in the summer heat of Burdwan. We don't have any big corporate signs or a front desk with a receptionist. It is just us handling the paperwork and making sure the mining operations have what they need from this side. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait a while to send off reports. We have been doing this for a while now from this specific spot, and we have just gotten used to the way things work here in Asansol. It is a quiet, practical way to work.
