Down in Nilkanth Tala, you will find Icon Engineering Co. We are situated in the Post-Khandra area, which falls under the Andal police station in the Burdwan district. It is a bit of a trek if you aren't from around here, but it is a solid place to run an engineering shop. The surroundings are mostly quiet, except for when we have got the machines running. We have got a lot of tools and parts scattered around the workspace because there is always something being built or repaired. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is a real workshop. People know us in Burdwan for just being reliable and staying at it. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just do engineering. It is heavy work sometimes, and your hands definitely get dirty by the end of the day. The post office at Khandra is where our mail goes, and we have been there long enough that the postman knows us well. Andal is a familiar place to all of us. We grew up around these parts or moved here specifically for the work. There is a certain way things get done in this district, and we follow that rhythm. We don't have a PR person or anything. If you want to know about us, you just come down to the shop and see what is on the benches. It is plain and simple engineering work.
