Danarjee Medicine

Danarjee Medicine is situated right on the Main Road, very close to the New Bus Stand. Being so near the bus stand means it’s always hectic around here with people coming and going at all hours. We’ve been at this location for years, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for people waiting for their buses. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a long counter where we handle the customers. We have a lot of stock squeezed into a relatively small space, so it can feel a bit tight when there are more than three people inside. The noise of the buses pulling in and out is something we’ve just learned to ignore over time. We start our day early to catch the morning crowd and usually don't close up until late in the evening. Most of the work is just fetching things from the back and making sure the prices are marked correctly. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the shop inside and out. Sometimes the dust from the bus stand gets inside, so we are constantly wiping down the counters with an old cloth. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We know most of the bus drivers and the regular commuters who pass through every day. It’s a busy, noisy, and practical life here at the shop. We like to keep a radio playing quietly.
