Jai Maa Durga Steel

Jai Maa Durga Steel is out in Village Kalyanpur, which is part of the Punpun area. We are located near the gumti on Mehra Road. Being out in the village means things are a little slower than in the big city, but we still stay busy. The railway crossing, or gumti as we call it, is a major point here, and everything stops when the trains go through. Our shop is just a basic structure where we keep our steel and tools. On Mehra Road, you see more tractors and cows than you see fancy cars. We like it that way. Most of our customers are folks from around Kalyanpur or the neighboring villages who are building something or fixing a fence. We spend our days cutting steel and moving heavy bars around. It’s hard on the back, but it's the work we know. The air out here in Punpun is a bit clearer, though it gets very dusty when the wind blows across the fields. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We know the locals and they know where to find us when they need something for their construction projects. It is a simple, rural business where we just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful to our neighbors. Sometimes the rain turns the road to mud, but we keep the gates open anyway.
