Bhumibhakti Farmers Producer Company Limited is run by us farmers here in Mahagaon K, Arni. We use Sk Mehmood Sk Kayyum’s place at House No 102 as our main office. It’s a simple setup because we’d rather spend our money on farming than on a fancy building. We call it Bhumibhakti because we really do respect the land we work on every day. It’s a lot of sweat and long hours, but it’s what we know. We started this group because we wanted to have a little more control over where our produce goes. In Mahagaon K, everyone knows everyone, so it wasn't hard to get people to join in. We don't have any polished managers or experts. We just have years of experience dealing with the soil in this part of the district. Some days are harder than others, especially when the market prices drop or the insects move in, but we talk it through at Mehmood’s house. It’s a place for us to be honest about what’s working and what isn't. We aren't trying to sell you a dream; we're just trying to grow decent crops and support our families. If you’re ever near house 102, you might see us there talking about the next harvest. It’s a basic, local effort by people who actually live and work right here in Arni without much fuss.
