Asha Clinic

Our clinic is at 138/2 Anna Salai in Peramvakkam. It’s a quiet area and the pace of life is a bit slower here. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, seeing the same faces year after year. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much. We wanted to have a place where people didn't have to travel into the bigger cities for every little thing. It’s just a small room where we talk to patients and a small area for waiting. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s clean and it works. We don’t use any fancy medical jargon or big machines. It’s mostly about listening to what’s wrong and helping out. Most of the people who come here are from the village or the small houses nearby. They know us by name and we know them. Sometimes they bring us snacks or just stop by to say hello. It feels more like a community center than a medical office sometimes. There is a lot of green around here which makes the air feel a bit fresher. We open early in the morning because that’s when most people like to visit before they head out to work. It’s not a high-tech facility, just a practical clinic for the folks living around Peramvakkam. We do our best with what we have and keep things running day to day. We even have an old dog that hangs around the entrance sometimes.
