Auroville Exports Trust

You can find us at number 7, Auroshilpam, which is a place that has its own steady energy. Auroville Exports Trust isn't the kind of place with a big neon sign out front. It’s more of a functional space where we handle the day-to-day tasks of moving goods. The air around here is a bit different than the city, quieter mostly, except for when the birds get going or a scooter passes by. We have a few rooms filled with samples and ledgers that have been around for a while. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so there is a lot of local talk during the lunch break. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or trying to look bigger than we are. It’s just about making sure the orders are correct and the packages are ready when they need to be. The building itself has that simple look you see a lot in this area. It stays relatively cool inside even when the sun is beating down on the paths outside. We like the simplicity of it. There aren't any complicated hierarchies here. If someone needs help with a heavy box or a confusing invoice, we just jump in and help out. It’s a very straightforward way of working. Most days go by without any major drama, just the sound of tape dispensers and people checking lists. We don't overcomplicate things when a simple solution is right there in front of us.
