Punitha Mani Travels is right here on Lalgudi Main Road in Kela Valadi. We've been around this part of Trichy for a good while now. The office isn't much to look at, just a small place where we keep the keys and take phone calls from people needing a ride. Most days start pretty early, before the sun gets too hot over the fields. We spend a lot of time checking the oil and making sure the seats are wiped down properly. The traffic on the main road can get a bit loud, especially with the buses zooming past, but we got used to it years ago. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds. We don’t have fancy brochures or anything like that. People usually just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s just how things work around here in the 621218 area. We try to keep the vehicles in decent shape because the roads around Lalgudi can be a bit rough on the suspension if you aren't careful. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we usually hang out between trips and talk about the day. It’s a simple life, just driving folks where they need to go, whether it’s a wedding or a hospital visit or just getting to the station on time. We know the shortcuts around here pretty well by now and just take things as they come.
