Amc College

Our place is out in Nadukkadu Konalai, which is near Manachanallur in Tamil Nadu. It's a bit of a drive from the main city traffic, but that makes it a quiet place for the students to focus. We are a college, but we don't act like those big, expensive universities you see in the magazines. It’s more of a community feel here. We have basic classrooms and some open space for the students to sit around and talk between their lessons. The buildings are plain and very practical. We don't have marble floors or air conditioning in every room. The teachers are local people who know their subjects well and care about the kids. We focus on giving the students a place where they can study without too many distractions from the town. There are plenty of trees around the grounds and it feels quite peaceful most of the time. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms make a lot of noise or the power goes out for a bit, but nobody really complains. We deal with all the usual paperwork that comes with running a school. It’s a lot of paper files and handwritten registers in the main office. The students come from the nearby villages mostly. They are good kids, just trying to work hard and get through their exams. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed and friendly for everyone who comes to study with us.
