We’ve got our shop, Thirumurugan Chemicals & Paints, right at 45, Arcot Bazar. It’s inside Kumaran Mahal, and if you’re looking for us, we’re quite close to the ICICI Bank ATM. Being in Arcot Bazar means there is always a lot of foot traffic and people moving about. We keep a lot of different paints and chemical supplies in the back. The front of the shop is usually filled with samples and open cans. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where every single bottle is hidden. We’ve been serving the local area for a good while. Most of our customers are just neighbors or painters who need a few things for a day’s work. We don’t use any big words. We don't try to act like a huge company. We’re just a local business trying to keep the shelves full. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet. That doesn’t happen too often. Dealing with different colors and mixing things up occupies most of our hours. If you’re ever walking through Arcot Bazar, you’ll likely spot our shop near Kumaran Mahal. We keep things pretty simple and just focus on what the person in front of us needs. It’s a bit cramped with all the inventory, but it works for us and our regulars. There is always someone coming in asking for advice or just wanting to see the latest colors we have.
