We are over at No : 3/1258 on Middle Street in S.V. Nagaram. This is right in the Arni Taluk area, and it’s a place where agriculture is the main thing everyone talks about. Our shop is on a street that gets fairly busy during the planting season. We keep a variety of supplies that the local farmers need. It’s a simple setup with a lot of heavy sacks stacked up against the walls. The smell of fertilizer and seeds is pretty strong when you walk in. I spend my time checking the stock and talking to people who come in from the surrounding villages. Everyone has a different problem with their crops, and we just listen and try to find whatever it is they are looking for. The Middle Street location is easy for people to get to, and we’ve been here long enough that we’re part of the neighborhood. The building is a bit old, and the shelves are made of simple wood that’s started to sag a bit under the weight of the bags. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us moving things around and keeping the books. When it’s not the busy season, we spend a lot of time just sitting out front on plastic chairs, watching the people and the cows go by. It’s a straightforward life, dealing with the earth and the people who work it in Arni Taluk every day.
