Our place is located at 128/129 on the Arni-Arcot Road, right in the middle of Maruthuvambadi. If you know Sholingur, you know this stretch of road gets quite a bit of traffic during the day with all the trucks and buses passing by. We have been operating out of these two units for some time now, and it is a bit of a squeeze sometimes with all the stuff we have moved in here. The building isn't brand new, so it has some cracks in the walls and the paint is peeling in a few spots near the ceiling, but it stays cool enough when the fans are running. Most of us here just focus on getting the daily tasks done and making sure items are where they belong. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the stock in the back room. It is not a quiet job because of the vehicles zooming by outside all the time. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside when the wind picks up, so we have to wipe down the counters every couple of hours. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just trying to keep things moving along at a steady pace. It is mostly local people working here, so it feels more like a house than a big corporate office. We usually share our lunch in the small break area behind the main desk. It is a plain way to work but it suits us fine.
