Structural Engineer

Our office is over at 28/6A on Middle Street in the Anuppanadi area of Madurai. If you know Madurai, you know it gets pretty warm, so we’ve got our routine down. The office is a simple setup on Middle Street, which is a fairly narrow road with a lot of local life. We handle structural engineering, which means a lot of time spent on site visits and then coming back here to draw everything up. The 625009 pin code area is where we spend most of our time. It’s not a corporate park; it’s just a regular building where we’ve set up our tables and computers. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day—bikes going past, people talking, and the occasional temple bell. We don't use a lot of fancy words for what we do. We just make sure the concrete and steel are where they should be. Most of our day is spent looking at structural sections and trying to solve problems that come up during construction. It’s a lot of practical thinking. We have files stacked up from years of work. Sometimes people just walk in from the street to ask a quick question about a wall or a roof. We like being accessible like that. Middle Street has been our home for a while, and we’re happy to be part of the Anuppanadi community. It's a busy place but we manage to get the drawings done on time.
