Sri Kannan Departmental Store Pvt Ltd

Our place is right on Kamarajar Salai at No 77. People in Madurai know us well because we are directly opposite Alankar Theatre. It’s a very busy part of town with lots of traffic. Sri Kannan Departmental Store has been around for quite a while now. We have several floors filled with everything from household items and groceries to clothes. It’s a big building, but it still feels like a local shop to us. There are always people coming and going, especially when a new movie starts or ends across the street. We have quite a few staff members who help customers find what they need among the many aisles. It gets a bit chaotic during the festival seasons like Diwali or Pongal. The billing counters usually have a long line, but we try to move it along as fast as possible. We don’t use a lot of fancy lights or flashy displays. It’s just rows and rows of metal shelves. The parking outside can be a bit of a headache because the road is so narrow and crowded. We spend a lot of our time making sure the shelves are full and everything is in its place. It's a lot of work keeping a place this size running smoothly every day. We don't really do much in the way of marketing. People just know we are here. It's a reliable spot for the community.
