Santosh Clinic

Our clinic is situated on Old Kuyavarpuram Road. We are quite close to the Mehal, which is how most people find us if they haven't been here before. This part of the road has a lot of history to it. The clinic itself is a simple building. It’s not one of those brand new medical centers with the glass fronts and the air conditioning that freezes you out. We just have the basic fans and enough space for people to sit down while they wait their turn. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we are always reminding people to wipe their feet at the door. We see a lot of different people from the neighborhood. Some have been coming to this specific spot on Old Kuyavarpuram Road for years. It’s a familiar place for them. The walls are painted a plain color and we have some old health posters up that have been there for as long as I can remember. We spend our mornings getting everything ready, checking the supplies, and making sure the patient files are in order. It’s a quiet sort of life here for the most part. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know how everything works. We just try to keep things moving along so nobody has to wait too long out in the heat.
