Kasi Clinic

Kasi Clinic is located at 145-A on Kamarajar Salai. We are very close to the Mariamman Teppakulam. It is a famous spot with the big temple tank. Being near such a landmark means there are always people around, especially during the festivals when the whole street is full of devotees and stalls. Our clinic is a modest space on the main road. It has a bit of an old-fashioned look because the building has been there for quite a long time. We have the usual things you would find in a small clinic, like a consultation table and some chairs for waiting. The noise from the traffic on Kamarajar Salai is something we have just gotten used to over the years. You can hear the buses and the auto-rickshaws honking all day long. We open the doors early in the morning before the sun gets too high and hot. Most of our regulars are families who live in the narrow streets behind the main road. They come in for small things or just to get a checkup. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us to handle the people who walk in. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way. We just keep the records in a drawer and talk to people as they come through the door. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood where everyone knows each other.
