Our company, Upc Infratech, is located in the small village of Bagmarabalua, which is part of Jokihat in the Araria district. It’s a very quiet village setting compared to the noise of the big cities. We work out of Quasim Simaria. Being in a rural area like this means we know almost everyone who lives around here. The pace of life is definitely a bit different in this part of the country. We handle various infrastructure projects, but our office looks just like any other regular building in the village. There’s a lot of green trees around us and the roads can be a bit bumpy depending on the season. We started this whole thing because we wanted to work in our own local area. Most of our staff are local people from right here in Araria. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room for guests. If you come by to see us, you’ll probably find us sitting around a simple wooden table talking about the next road or building project. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or very slow internet, but we always make it work somehow. It’s an honest way to earn a living and we take it seriously. We care about the work because it’s happening in our own backyard. Jokihat is where we grew up and where we choose to stay. The office is very simple and functional. We keep the paperwork in old metal cabinets and have a few plastic chairs.
