S.A. Masala Bhandar

We are located in Ward No -2, right at Subhash Chowk on the Jogbani Road in Forbesganj. We are pretty easy to spot because we are near the HDFC Bank. It’s a busy corner of the town. There is always noise from the rickshaws and people shouting. S.A. Masala Bhandar has been here for a while. We sell all kinds of masalas and whole spices. The shop is small and crowded with bags of turmeric, chili, and cumin. We don't have much room to move around once the customers start coming in. It’s just me and one other guy working here most days. We weigh everything out on the old balance scales. It’s a bit slow but it works fine for us. We don't use any fancy packaging. Just simple plastic bags or paper wraps. The humidity can be a problem sometimes, so we have to keep everything sealed up tight. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just want to sell our stuff and make enough to keep the lights on. People from the nearby villages come in when they visit the bank. We chat about the weather or the price of crops. It’s a friendly place. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Forbesganj, just a reliable one. The hours are long, but we are used to it. We just open up, sell the spice, and close when it gets dark.
