Up here in Gingee, things move at their own pace. Sti India is tucked away in this part of Tamil Nadu, specifically in the 604202 zip code area. If you’ve ever been to this region, you know it’s famous for the fort, but for us, it’s just where we work every day. The heat can be something else during the middle of the year, so we usually start early to get a head start. Our setup isn’t anything you’d call modern or stylish. It’s a functional space with a lot of history in the walls. We’ve got our regulars who stop by, and every now and then, someone new wanders in. We try to keep things straightforward. There’s no point in making things harder than they need to be. The local market is close by, so there’s always noise and people moving about. We like being part of the town like this. It feels real. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of our day is spent handling the actual physical side of the business. It’s a bit dusty, and the shelves are a little crooked, but everything is where it should be. We just keep plugging away at it, year after year, staying local and keeping it simple. It's a bit of a trek for some, but we like where we are.
