South India Textiles Hardwares Apparels is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but that is who we are. We are located at No. 7 Mariyamman Koil Street, inside the Arani Gems Compound in Onnupuram. Our space is filled with a little bit of everything. We have stacks of cloth in one corner and boxes of hardware tools in another. It might seem like an odd mix to some people, but it works for us. The Arani Gems Compound is a familiar landmark around Onnupuram, so it is not too hard to find our door. The shop has a concrete floor that stays cool even when it is hot outside. We spend our days moving between different types of tasks. One hour we might be counting bolts and the next we are checking the quality of some shirts. It keeps the day interesting because we never quite know what will be needed next. We don't have any fancy displays or a showroom. It is more of a warehouse feel where things are stored and sorted. The street outside is usually quiet except during festival times at the Mariyamman Koil. We have a few shelves that are a bit wobbly, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it is a functional workspace.
