Larsen&Toubro Limited

Living and working around Mettu Street is quite something. We are located in Alampoondi, which is right in the Villupuram district. Being near Gingee Fort gives the whole place a bit of a historical feel, though our office is anything but old-fashioned in its purpose. We are the Larsen&Toubro Limited branch for this specific area. The street outside is usually busy with people going to and from the post office or the market. It gets loud. We have a small space here, nothing too big or flashy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. The building we are in is easy to find if you know the landmark. We don’t do much in the way of advertising because people around here already know who we are. It’s a practical setup. We have our files, our computers, and a small kettle for making coffee. The staff here is local, so we speak the language and know the shortcuts around the taluk. It’s just a daily routine of handling whatever tasks come our way. We don't worry much about looking corporate or being perfect. We just want to get the work done and go home to our families at the end of the day. That is how we operate here in Alampoondi. It is just a normal, busy street and a normal workplace.
