Danie D.Ted & B.Ed College

Our college is situated in Gingee, which is part of the Villupuram district. If you’ve ever been to this part of Tamil Nadu, you know it’s got a lot of history with the fort and all, but we are just tucked away in the local area. It’s a place for people who want to become teachers, focusing on the D.Ted and B.Ed courses. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it’s sturdy and has enough space for the lectures. Students come from all over the district, some taking the bus and others walking from nearby. It’s usually pretty quiet during the actual classes, but the hallways get lively when the bell rings. We don’t go in for all those glossy brochures you see elsewhere. Instead, we just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone knows what they’re doing before they head out to real schools. The weather can get quite hot in Gingee, so the fans are almost always running in the classrooms. Sometimes we sit outside in the shade during lunch if there’s a bit of a breeze. It’s a straightforward setup. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just provide a place for folks in the 604202 area and beyond to get their teaching qualifications without having to travel all the way to a major city. It feels like a small community most days. That's about it for our little college here.
