Kamala Engineering Works

Kamala Engineering Works is a small shop located in the village of Beremul, right near Champadanga. We are in the Tarakeswar police station area of Hooghly district. It is a quiet place mostly, except for when we are running the lathes or doing some welding. We have been here for years, fixing tools and making parts for the local farmers and small businesses nearby. It is a family-run kind of place where things are done by hand and with old machines that still work fine. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. If you have something that is broken, you bring it to the shop and we see if we can fix it for you. Sometimes it takes a few days if we have to find a specific piece of metal. The floor is always covered in iron shavings and the smell of oil is everywhere. My father taught me how to do this work when I was just a kid. We take pride in just getting the job done without a lot of fuss. People in the village know us well and they just stop by to chat or ask for help with a repair. It is a simple life in Hooghly and we are glad to have our little corner here. We don’t need much, just enough work to keep the lights on.
