D. P. Enterprise

You can find D. P. Enterprise out in Pursura, right near the Pursura Police Station in Hooghly district. Being in a village post area means things move a little slower than they do in the big city, which we don't mind at all. Our place is simple and practical. We are close enough to the police station that everyone knows the landmark. It is just a basic building with what we need to get our work done. We spend a lot of time talking to local folks who come by with different needs. In the monsoon season, the roads around Hooghly can get a bit difficult with all the mud, so we sometimes have fewer visitors then. But the rest of the year, it’s a steady stream of activity. We aren't trying to grow into some massive company; we just like providing what people need right here in our own community. My father started things out and I just took over the daily running of it. We have a small shed out back for storage and a front room where we sit and talk to customers. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have fancy computers or high-tech systems, just a ledger and some basic tools. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and we feel lucky to be working in the same place we grew up in. It is just us.
