Rocky Hollow Blocks

Our yard is at number 86 on Djk Street in Arakkonam. We are situated in Annai Mugambigai Nagar, right off Kilkuppam Road. If you come by, you’ll see Rocky Hollow Blocks written on the wall. The place is mostly outdoors because of the type of work we do. There is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. We have piles of blocks stacked up in rows across the lot. It’s a bit messy, honestly, with sand and grit everywhere, but that’s just how it is when you’re making things out of cement. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon. We usually have a truck coming in or out to drop off materials. The neighbors don't seem to mind the noise too much since we've been here for a while. It’s just a small crew of us working. We wear old clothes because everything gets covered in gray dust by the end of the shift. We check the blocks to make sure they are dry before we move them. It’s physical work and can be tiring when it’s hot out. We keep a water cooler in the shed for when we need a break. It’s just a regular local spot doing what we do every day. Nothing more to it than that. Sometimes we have to cover everything up if it looks like rain. We try to stay ahead of the schedule as much as the weather allows.
