Navy Children School Ins Rajaly

Being located within INS Rajaly in Arakkonam means our school has a very specific kind of feel to it. Most of the families here are connected to the naval base, so there’s a lot of coming and going as people get posted to different parts of the country. We see new faces all the time, which keeps things interesting but also means we’re always helping someone settle in. Arakkonam is known for being quite hot, so we spend a lot of our energy just trying to keep the classrooms comfortable enough for the kids to focus. The school day starts early to beat the worst of the afternoon sun. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid place for children to learn while their parents are serving here. The hallways are usually filled with the sound of kids chatting about where they lived before moving here. Our staff handles the administrative side of things with a lot of patience, as there’s always paperwork to be done. We have the usual sports days and assemblies, but mostly it’s just about the daily grind of lessons and homework. The grounds are kept clean, and we try to make sure the library has enough books for everyone. It’s a straightforward environment where the rules are followed, but there’s still room for the kids to be kids. We just focus on getting through the school year and helping the students reach the next grade.
