Working out of the Ship Car Industrial Complex in Ranipet is pretty straightforward. It’s a hot place, and the industrial park is always buzzing with some kind of noise. We’ve been here at No. 2 for a long time, making precision tools. It’s the kind of work where you have to pay attention to the small details, or nothing else works right. The air in the factory is always a bit heavy, and you get used to the smell of metal and coolant after a few days. We aren’t a flashy company with a lot of marketing talk. We just focus on the machines and the output. Most of us live nearby in Tamil Nadu, so we know the area well. The commute isn’t too bad if you beat the morning shift changes. We spend our days checking specs and making sure the tools are being made the way they should be. It’s physical work, and your hands usually end up pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We don’t spend much time in fancy offices; we’re mostly on the floor where the real work happens. It’s a big complex, and we’re just one part of it, but we’ve been around long enough that most people know where we are. We don't really have any big secrets to tell, just a bunch of workers doing their bit every day to keep the production moving along. We usually finish up the last batch before the sun sets and the gates close.
