Tulsiana Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited is located right in Ward Number 05, just a short walk from the main bus stand in Kotma. We are sitting pretty close to Hotel Shakti, which most people around here use as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time. The area stays quite busy with people traveling in and out of Anuppur, so there is always a lot of noise from the buses and the crowd outside. Our office space is just a regular room where we keep our ledgers and some old plastic chairs for anyone who needs to sit down while they wait. It gets a little dusty because of all the traffic on the road, but we try to keep the place tidy enough. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we know the local routine and when the tea stall across the street starts brewing the first batch of the day. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it is on the high setting, but it helps during those long afternoons when the Madhya Pradesh heat starts to settle in. We spend a lot of time talking to folks from the neighborhood about their small deposits and making sure all the entries in the books are correct. It is not a very fancy setup, but it serves the purpose for everyone in this part of Kotma.
