Gupta Traders

We have been here in Singhpur Village for a good while now. It is a quiet place in Sohagpur Tehsil and we like being part of the community in Shahdol District. My family started Gupta Traders because people needed things close by without having to travel too far into the bigger towns. We keep the shop open early and close late most days. The shelves are usually full of whatever folks around here need for their daily lives or their farms. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows through the village, but that is just how it is here. We know most people by their first names when they walk through the door. It isn't a fancy setup with bright lights or anything like that. Just a solid building with wooden counters and bags of stuff stacked in the corners. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors about the weather or how the crops are doing while they pick up their supplies. If we don't have something, we try to get it in the next time the truck comes through. People know they can find us here six days a week, sometimes even on Sundays if it is urgent. We don't do much advertising because everyone knows where we are located near the main path. It’s just us doing our bit to keep things moving in the village.
