We operate out of Middikandriga Village in the K.V.B. Puram Mandal. Our office is basically at K. Sanmugam’s place, house number 1-90/2. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big fancy office building or a secretary answering phones. It’s just us. We focus on construction projects around this part of the district. It’s a quiet place, but there’s always someone looking to build a wall or a small house. We spend our days out in the sun, mostly. You get used to the heat after a few years of doing this. We aren't looking to impress anyone with big words or complicated plans. We just know how to handle the local materials and work with the local labor. Sometimes it’s a real challenge to get supplies delivered to the village, especially when the roads are bad after a big rain. We just do our best to keep things moving. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We've been here for a bit and we just keep doing what we know. It’s simple, honest work and we stay busy enough. There are days when things don't go as planned, like when a machine breaks down or the sand is too wet, but we just deal with it. It’s just how it is in this line of work.
