We are out here at Gno 194 in the Dalimb area of Daund. The full name we registered is Shivshambhu Multi Skill Development And Education Private Limited, which is quite a mouthful to say when you’re answering the phone. Most of us just call it the skill center. It’s a bit of a drive out to Ap Dalimb, but we like being in this part of the district. We focus on teaching different skills to people who need them for work. It’s not like a big university or anything like that. It’s more practical. We have some classrooms set up where we do the training. The building is simple and we spend a lot of time just making sure the equipment is working right for the students. Some days are quieter than others depending on which courses are running at the time. We don’t really have a big marketing team or a shiny lobby. It’s just a place where people from around the village and the taluka come to learn something new that might help them get a better job. We deal with a lot of local folks. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets a bit dusty with the road nearby, but we just get on with it. It feels good to see people picking up a trade or finishing a course here. Every now and then, we have a little celebration when a batch finishes. It's just us and the students, nothing fancy.
