This place is located right at 294, Gidc Estate. It’s just across from where Atul Aeronautics is. If you know the GIDC area in Ankleshwar, you know it’s mostly just factories and trucks moving in and out all day long. We make medicine here. It’s a big site and there is always something going on with the machines or the shifts changing. The heat in Ankleshwar can be tough during the summer months, especially when you are working on the floor. We have a lot of people coming in for their shifts every morning and evening. It's not the kind of place that looks pretty from the outside, but it’s where the work happens. We follow the schedules and make sure the batches are moving along. Sometimes things break down and the maintenance guys have to come in at odd hours. That’s just how it is in a pharmaceutical plant. Most of us have been working here for a long time. You get used to the smell of the chemicals and the noise of the machinery after a while. We aren't really looking to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just stay focused on the production lines and getting the boxes loaded onto the trucks. It’s a steady job for a lot of families around this part of Gujarat. The tea stall right outside the gate is where most of us head during the breaks. It helps pass the long hours when the plant is running at full capacity all night.
