V-India Engineering & Construction Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Plot No. 5308 in the G.I.D.C. area. We’re tucked away behind Vijay Transport, right inside the Sunsil premises. It’s a busy industrial zone, so there is always noise and trucks moving around all day long. We do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to construction projects. It isn’t always clean work. Our boots are usually covered in mud or cement by the end of the shift. We’ve got a small team here that knows how to handle the machinery and the tools. Most of our days are spent looking at drawings or managing the guys on the site. Things don't always go according to plan. Sometimes the materials are late or a machine breaks down, and we have to figure it out on the fly. That’s just the nature of the business. We’ve been in G.I.D.C. for a while now, and we know the other businesses around here pretty well. It’s a practical environment. No one cares about fancy suits or big talk. They just want to know if the structure is solid and if the pipes are laid correctly. We try to keep our head down and do the work. It’s a lot of responsibility, especially with the engineering side of things. We make sure everything is safe. It's tough work but it feels good to see a project finally finished after months of labor. We're just trying to do a decent job for our clients.
