Swadeshi Flour Mill

Swadeshi Flour Mill is situated right near Chauta Bazar in the town of Ankleshwar. This is a very busy part of the town where people are always rushing around doing their shopping. Our mill is one of those local spots that has been around for quite some time. You can usually hear the low hum of the grinding stones from the street. We take in wheat and other grains from local people who want them turned into fresh flour. The air inside the mill is always thick with that earthy smell of ground grain. To be honest, it is a messy job. You end up with flour on your clothes, in your hair, and all over the floor by the end of the shift. We serve a lot of the local families who live in the streets around the bazar. They bring their own grain in sacks, and we grind it while they wait or they go do their other shopping and come back. The machines we use are quite old but they still work well as long as we keep them oiled and maintained. We don't have any big signs or fancy advertisements. It is just the mill, the sacks, and the work. Sometimes when the market is very crowded, it is hard to move around, but we like being right in the middle of all the action.
