Shree Radheshyam Wood Industries

We run a wood workshop at Plot No. 82/a in the Gidc area. Shree Radheshyam Wood Industries has been here for a good few years. The whole place smells like sawdust and fresh-cut timber, which we’ve grown to like. We have a few big saws and some sanding equipment that keep us busy throughout the day. It’s a dusty environment, no matter how much we sweep up at the end of the shift. We work with different types of wood depending on what’s available in the market and what people are asking for. It’s mostly functional stuff we make for construction or basic furniture. We aren't trying to be artists; we're just making sure things are sturdy and well-built for the customers. The yard outside is usually full of logs or finished planks waiting to be picked up by trucks. We keep a small crew, and everyone knows their job. Sometimes we have to work late into the evening to finish a big batch that needs to go out. The weather can affect the wood, so we have to watch out for humidity levels. We don't have a big office or a receptionist at the front. If you come by to see us, you’ll likely find us in the back with the machines. It’s honest labor and it keeps us busy. We like the feeling of finishing a job and seeing the wood stacked up ready to go. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for years.
