Shree Jalaram Petroleum

Our place, Shree Jalaram Petroleum, is at Shop No. 9 in the G.I.D.C. Shopping Centre. We are located right near Roshni Cinema, which is a landmark everyone around here uses to find their way. The shopping center is usually full of people coming and going for different errands. We’ve been operating out of this small shop for quite some time. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. We deal with oils and petroleum products, so there’s always that distinct smell in the air. It’s a smell you get used to after the first week. Most of our day is spent helping people who need fuel or lubricants for their vehicles or machines. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. We know whose truck is acting up and who is starting a new project. The office part of the shop is just a small desk with a calculator and a ledger. We still write a lot of things down by hand because it’s faster for us. When the cinema has a big show, the whole area gets really packed with cars and motorbikes, which makes it a bit hectic. But usually, it’s just a steady flow of work. We aren't looking to change much about how we do things. We just stay open, keep the stock ready, and help the people who come through the door.
